Many Travel Suppliers
use a business contact communication and
contact management program called taCONNECT.
taCONNECT is a program owned by Travel Relations LLC ("TR"). TR publishes this Privacy Policy & Terms to inform you of
the practices concerning the collection and use of information you provide
TR through interactions with various Travel Suppliers and this website. It
also informs you of the practice in which TR manages supplier and
destinations ("clients") business contact databases. This policy and terms of use is not applicable to information gathered by other methods or controlled by other agreements.
How TR Collects Your Information:
TR / taCONNECT organizes and updates our
clients business contacts data they have on file. Our clients collect
people's business contact information in a variety of ways. If your information is in
a client database and
displayed for you on this website, it is because you have had some interaction with
our client
previously. Examples of how your original contact information found its way to our
clients databases: trade shows, training/rewards programs, webinars/seminars, trade advertising,
members of the same affiliation, selling their products/services, working with
their Business Development Managers/Sales Associates, etc. To be compliant with
the rules set by the United States CAN-SPAM Act, the Canadian Anti-Spam Laws
(CASL) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR);
taCONNECT tracks (after client input) the "Original Source" and "Original
Source Date" of their new business contacts (after 6/1/2018) that are
added to their business databases. In addition, once you officially submit your current information,
you are opting into
TR's master database so that TR can offer you and their clients the
following services found in "Use
Of Your Personal Information". Use Of Your Personal Information: If you elect to provide a more comprehensive
updated contact profile, it will be used primarily to deliver the service you
expect. Your personal information is used in a variety of ways:
From time to time TR may use "submitted"
contact information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our Privacy Policy. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our website.
Sharing Of Personal Information With Third
Parties: In general, TR does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you have requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:
We may provide personal information about our users to trusted partners and vendors who work on behalf of or with TR under confidentiality and similar agreements prohibiting such parties' further use of the information. These companies may use your personal information to help TR communicate with you about offers from TR and our marketing partners. However, these companies do not have any independent right to use or share this information. When you register for an educational program, contest, event, virtual seminar/tradeshow, or other promotion that is sponsored by a third party, the third party will be provided personal information unless otherwise posted in connection with the promotion. We may share personal information where we have a good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, a court order, or legal process served on TR, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims. We may share such information where we have a good faith belief that it is necessary in order to investigate (or assist in the investigation of), prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of TR's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law. If TR is acquired by or merged with another company, we will transfer information about you to this other company in connection with the acquisition or merger.
